January 2009
Lake Mathews

January is when we usually read the Chapter Charter and turn in the new year Ride Wavers. After the time it took to read the Charter and receive the ride wavers from everyone, we had to pick a short ride for this month. So we picked a small and simple loop to Lake Mathews and back.

Lake Mathews is a large reservoir in Riverside County, California, located in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. It is the western terminus for the Colorado River Aqueduct that provides much of the water used by the cities and water districts of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. The reservoir is closed to the public. (wikipedia)

We had two new riders show up for this month’s ride and they are Dan and Wendy McMillin. Gary and I ran into the McMillins at the IMS show and we are glad to see them with us. Welcome Dan and Wendy
And thanks for the pictures Wendy J

See everyone next month at the Rock Store.
